Suprafilt is celebrating after being shortlisted for an industry award.
The aeration specialist, based at Whitewell Bottom in Rossendale, was named as runner up in the Made in the North West ‘Education in Business Award’ category for their collaborative £2.2million research project with the University of Sheffield.
They were beaten by the Strive project, run by the Virtual Engineering Centre in Liverpool.
Suprafilt Director Graeme Fielden said: “We are thrilled to be a finalist for the Made In the North West Awards.
“Being praised for our hard work and success in our field is a reward for the work we have put in. It acknowledges the investment – both financially and in our team.
“We would like to thank the judges and the organisers for the recognition.”
Automotive giant Jaguar Land Rover has won the prestigious Manufacturing Company of the Year Award at Insider's Made in the North West Awards.
Miri Thomas, editorial director at Insider, described the standard of entries as "fantastic, a real showcase in innovation, ambition and vision".
She said: "You are pioneers. You’re driving forward development, creating jobs and boosting the economy."
